1) Same Day Relines

The Temiskaming Denture Center prides itself of being able to provide same day relines for most denture cases.

Denture relines involves adding new base material to the tissue side of a denture so it fits properly. Relining can restore your denture to a 'like new' fit. Relining affects only the fit of your denture and will not change the appearance or other aspects of your denture.

Dentures usually require relining every 2-4 years and are needed when the tissue and bone supporting the denture resorbs (shrinks). Your bone is continually shrinking and the older you get, typically the faster this shrinkage occurs. Once the tissues and bone have shrunk and moved away from the denture you may notice:

-your denture moving in your mouth more often causing sore spots on the gums
-your denture dislodging when you eat, talk and/or sneeze
-food getting under your denture
